WIRED vs WIRELESS Remote Control?
Other electric skateboard sites (such as E-glide) might lead you to believe that wireless remotes are not a good idea on an electric skateboard, but do you really want to be tethered to a 50 lb board moving at 19 mph? Think about the safety issues associated with that!
Our wireless remotes are very reliable and use a sophisticated 2.4 GHz Bluetooth digital signal to communicate with our motor controller. RF Glitches can occasionally occur, but our smart electronics immediately know when it happens and will alert the rider with a warning beep followed by the brakes gently being applied to avoid any safety issues. Under no circumstances will a wireless glitch result in the motor continuing to operate when you don't want it to!
Multiple riders can ride next to each other without any interference due to multiple RF channels.
Our wireless remotes create no humming noises whatsoever. They are completely silent.
If you accidentally drop the remote while riding or if the board gets away from you by more than about 10 feet, the brakes will automatically be applied to prevent a runaway board and protect your board from potential damage.
Our wireless remotes will give you complete freedom to move your hands and body around while riding, creating a truly natural skateboard experience!
